questions

What would happen if the water level rose?

The villas are located at an altitude of 2.50 m to 3 m above sea level. Measured sea level rise is around 1 mm per year, and IPCC forecasts indicate an average increase of 3.5 mm per year over the next 100 years, or 35 cm in a century.

What would happen in the event of a tsunami?

The geographical configuration of the South Pacific between the islands and atolls of Polynesia prevents the waves from creating significant waves. No significant tsunami has been recorded on the island.

What systems are in place to manage waste and protect the environment?

Ecological waste management is planned, with innovative solutions such as sorting, composting and partnerships with companies specializing in sustainable waste management.

What to do in the event of a medical problem?

A medical practice on the island is available to treat emergencies and provide first aid. In the event of a serious accident, emergency transport via the EVASAN service takes less than 5 minutes to reach the Raiatea hospital. A clinic and maternity unit will also be available on Bora Bora before the opening, thanks to a partnership.

What happens in case of a pandemic?

If the resort closes, you and your family can stay on the island until it reopens. The island will be isolated, and health checks will be carried out in Bora Bora through strictly controlled security airlocks. Self-sufficiency will ensure that the island's residents have the food they need to feed themselves.

How does the atoll ensure self-sufficiency in water and energy?

The project relies on sustainable technologies to achieve total self-sufficiency:

- Water: Desalination, rainwater harvesting and air humidity condensation systems are used to meet drinking water needs.
- Energy: The atoll is powered by state-of-the-art solar panels and a concentrated solar power plant, complemented by methanization processes to exploit local organic resources.

- Annual stay: 1 month per year for 10 years on an all-inclusive basis (excluding vintage wines and champagnes).
- Free management: Rental income to cover maintenance costs estimated at €500,000 per year.
